Our pelvic oncology specialist is one of the few Board Certified Women's Health clinical specialists in Colorado and specializes in gynecological and prostate oncology. She is also able to address the impact of treatments for colorectal cancer on the body. She offers specialty services to address the following symptoms that patients may be experiencing as a result of their cancer treatment:  Urinary Issues (Incontinence, Frequency, Urgency); Gastrointestinal Irregularities (Constipation, Fecal Incontinence); Osteoporosis & Bone Health; Sexual Health; Pelvic, Abdominal, Back & Hip Pain; Gait, Balance and Falls Management; and Lymphedema Management. While her focus is on oncology patients, she also provides women's health rehabilitation services to patients who have not been diagnosed with cancer.

Our goal is to help our patients live their lives as normally, as fully and as actively as possible - both during cancer treatment and for years to come.
Evaluation: We begin with a one-on-one evaluation of the whole person and medical history with detailed assessment of the trunk including the abdomen & pelvis.

The Plan: A personalized one-on-one treatment program will be developed utilizing a variety of techniques including manual therapy (in a private treatment room), exercise, postural mobility & stability and patient education.

We will also often arrange periodic consultations with our oncology exercise specialists and, if necessary our neuro-oncology specialist to address any chemo toxicity issues you may be experiencing.

Later in your treatment, you can opt to start integrating appropriate levels of Pilates and Yoga into your plan and nutrition consultations are also available.

Most pelvic, prostate and colorectal cancer patients can benefit from therapy but here are some questions to help you identify your own need for rehabilitation.
